About The Wort Hogs
The Worthogs are an Australian group of home brewing enthusiasts. We are one of Melbourne's amateur brew clubs, and are based in the north eastern suburbs. The club was founded in 1996, with a handful of members and has grown to around 30 since. It has a good mix of kit, extract and mash brewers.
Meetings regularly consist of brew days/demos, competitions and social nights.
Each year, the Wort Hogs hold Pale Ale Mania, an annual open competition to which all Victorian craft brewers are invited to attend and enter. Pale Ale Mania has been held in early August every year since its inception in 1999 at AD Ryan’s Restaurant & Bar in Diamond Creek.
New Members are always welcome, and we also happily invite you to come and attend a function to see whether our club suits you before deciding if you would like to join us.
